As temperatures have warmed for the spring the last couple years, there’s been a noticeable increase in algae growing around the Imperial Palace in its moats. You wonder, is the Imperial Family starting an Imperial Algae Farm?
Any pond or body of water with no incoming and outflowijg water will stagnant. With today’s technology, this is an easy fix.
Get some waterproof bubble machines that aerate and drop them in several places around the moats. The lithium ion batteries will keep them going for months. At season’s end, just grab the floating buoys and pull them out.
Pretty unsightly if this is not fixed.

It’s amazing these old dudes in makeup can still sell tickets. KISS in the Tokyo Dome on Dec 11, 2019.

If you’re looking to get fit but jogging doesn’t appeal to you, and you find stuff in the pool other than swimmers turns you off, then you may want to look at cycling.
In the greater Tokyo area (Kanto Plain), riding isn’t always that great in Tokyo but there are some great places to go outside the huge metropolitan city. Some of the best places are along the rivers where the communities have actually maintained a cycling road that goes from Tokyo bay up stream.
For example, you can ride from Tokyo Bay up the Edo River and target Sekiyado Castle as your goal. The castle turned museum even has racks to hang your bike and picnic tables to each your lunch or relax on the borders of Chiba, Ibaraki, and Saitama prefectures. the cycling path varies from the size of a two lane road to a small paved path that only can handle a rider each way.
In the above picture you can see a sign in Kasukabe-Shi (City) Saitama along the route saying you’re 45 km from the ocean.

This shot is from along the Edo River. If you get out just a bit early, you can get a 30km ride easily.
Great to enjoy God’s Creation outside! Sometimes wish people would take better care of that Creation while it’s still under our control. Jesus is coming back soon! Do you know Him?
There won’t be any more environmental worries when God takes back the earth He temporarily entrusted to us.

It took a while to get out there but the Japan castle on the edge of Chiba, Ibaraki, and Saitama is neat. Apparently, it’s now a small museum and is near the branch of the Tone rivers to the Edo River. Edo is the old name for what is now present day Tokyo.
Looking forward to going out again sometime soon.

The small town in Saitama prefecture North of Tokyo has done a good thing. Along the Edo River, there’s a nice cycling path/road that goes from the Tokyo Bay all the way up the river into the mountains. It’s a bustling with cyclists on the weekend.
Most of the little cities haven’t done much for the influx of riders that head up and down the river. This little town has building a rest area (aka parking area like they have on the expressways). It comes complete with clean and well maintained washrooms, vending machines for drinks, bike racks, air pumps, and covered places to rest. Well done Matsubushi!

There is only one god. He is almighty and loves us all. But only those who know Him through Jesus will be with Him and have life eternal. He doesn’t live in a dollhouse shrine like this one in Ningyocho Tokyo.
