Defense Minister Katz:

The Israeli navy acted tonight to destroy the Syrian navy with great success.

I warn the rebel leaders in Syria from here: whoever follows Assad’s path will end up like Assad – we will not allow an extreme Islamic terrorist entity to act against Israel beyond the borders.

I instructed the IDF to establish a sterile defense zone from weapons and terrorist threats in southern Syria, without a permanent Israeli presence, in order to prevent the establishment and organization of terrorism in Syria and the creation of a reality that would be similar to what was in Lebanon and Gaza before 10/7

In over 300 targeted strikes during the past 24 hours, Israel destroyed the entire air force of Syria, including all aircrafts (MiG and Sukhoi), all helicopters, and all anti-aircraft systems.

While the world is watching the unfolding atrocities of the Assad regime, it is a good time to recall the hypocrisy of the UN Human Rights Council which condemned Israel more than twice as often as Syria. Useful idiots have turned the institution into a theater of the absurd.
