Although, there are all sorts of things you could take on a bike trip, here is a list that a couple of us brainstormed that might be helpful for your next overnighter.. Of course, do keep in mind the season and temperatures of where you’re going when you plan your trip. If you plan to sleep outside, there’s probably a few other things to add. For us, nothing beats a hot spring or bath at the end of a long work-out. Here’s the list.
- Pump
- 2 Tubes
- FUEL- Snacks such as protein bars..
- Change of Bibs, Socks (optional spare jersey)
- Wind Breaker Jacket
- USB AC Charger for front/back lights and cycling computer/phone at hotel
- Light slippers for inside hotel (optional)
- Small bath towel/hand towel for onsen/hot spring
- Multi-tool
- Sunglasses
- Credit Card/Cash for meals (or emergency)
Optional Suggestions
- Cable/elastic Ties
- Light Bike Lock
- Power Bank (USB Battery)
- More Bag Space (Than you think you need)
- Rinko Bag (Just in case you have to ride the train back)
- Spacer if you have disc breaks and bag your bike
